How to Bake a Sponge Cake Without an Oven

Baking a cake is thought as a hard job that contains a complicating works to do, and especially baking a cake is known for requiring an oven. However, not many people know that we can bake a cake without oven and I am going to teach you the way. This is the first class of the Baking Without Oven series.

The ingredients of a sponge cake: 40g of Cooking Oil, 120g of Sugar, 50g of Milk, 130g of Weak Flour, 4 Eggs, and automatic rice cooker (maximum 10people).

The first Step is dividing the eggs and their yolks.

We are going to make a meringue with the divided white of the eggs. The meringue is the very basic of baking, many cakes and cookies are using meringue. However, making a meringue is the most hard part and the most important part of this class.

The method of meringue is very simple just stir the egg until it becomes stiff. You may put sugar while you stir. The sugar will help the meringue gets more stiffer.

Since I said the meringue is one of the most important of the baking, good meringue should not move or fall when you turn it inside out.

In fact, many people fail this process and give up their baking. However, there are some factors that people to fail on this process. Firstly, the should not added any kinds of water or liquids. Secondly, you did not stir it enough. You may think the stirring is easy, but it isn’t.

You Should stir the egg in a same speed, fast, and without resting.

After you successfully make the meringue, you have to put other ingredients in an older of first sugar, second yolks, third oil, forth half of the weak flour, milk, and rest of the flour. You should put it one by one and stir it before it added. Be aware of stirring to harsh or stir too much after you add the flour. You must stir the dough like cutting something, therefore, you must use a thin tool or rice paddle to stir the dough after the flour is added.

This is the final appearance of before it goes to rice cooker.

In small other tips is paste butter or cooking oil before you pour the dough. After you put the dough in the pot, you may stamp the dough with the pot for 2 to 3 times and it will make the big bubble to puff out.

The last part is baking without oven.

I believe that most of the family has this kind of Korean automatic rice cooker than oven. Thus, you put your dough in the cooker and change the mode of the cooker to omnipotence stim, which is placed in the bottom line of the second roll. Also, the time must be 45 minutes and it is finish.
